Society for Lifelong Learning in Bratislava
Society for Lifelong Learning in Bratislava (ZCV) is an institution oriented to provisioning the training activities focused on the lifelong learning of the universities, enterprises and institutions staff as well as to development of training courses and provisioning of the advisory services over the whole Slovakia. All educational activities are realized on the base of the ICT applications.
The Society has participated also in the several national and international educational project: Under TEMPUS-PHARE programme (TEMPUS IB_JEP-13004-98 and TEMPUS IB_JEP-14041-1999) as subcontracting institution, under Leonardo da Vinci programme (Leonardo_ICoTeL - No:SK/02/B/F/PP-142261, Leonardo_ELefANTS - No: CZ/04 /B/P/PP/168012) as the project partner, under programme PHARE (Phare_ITOP – No: SR 0107.02-54/ZA).
At the national level the Society for Lifelong Learning participated, or participates in the following projects:
- National educational project REKOSIT, granted by National Labour Office of the Slovak Republic,
- project E-learning in ST, granted by Slovak Telecom and at present research and development project New generation of the ICT in education, granted by Ministry of Education of the Slovak Republic.
The Society of the Lifelong Learning activities are also oriented to:
- organising of the courses: Training of trainers focused on application of ICT in e-learning (face to face and distance learning),
- organising seminars, workshops and courses oriented to the lifelong learning,
- development and publishing of the training materials for the vocational training and lifelong learning.
Under the above mentioned projects, Society for Lifelong learning has participated in the several pilot courses based on e-learning (face to face and distance learning). More than two thousand trainees have been trained within these courses.
Skills, knowledge, expertise and experience in the field covered by the project: The experts of the Society for Lifelong Learning participate/has participated in the several activities focused on application of ICT in e-learning (training of trainers, training of experts for the development of training materials, development of training materials - paper based and electronic versions, etc.). These ICT experts are working (at the internal, or external base) also for the universities and ICT companies. All of them are experienced in the application of the new generation of ICT platforms (converged networks and NGN – Next Generation Networks) in e-learning.
